We are currently in the process of entering into theformal agreement with the Commonwealth and thisis the near term priority. In parallel, we are alsoworking through the contracting options for the HubMembers.Â
The intention is to come out and meet up with theHub Members as soon as possible once we havereached agreement with the Commonwealth.
We are keen to get Hub Members feedback oncontractual arrangements as well as input andplanning into the initial co-design activities andworkshops flagged in our proposal.Â
At this stage we expect to be on contract with theCommonwealth prior to the end of May and lookingto come out and meet with Hub members in earlyJune.Â

– Building the Foundations of Drought Resilience Forum –Â

The Future Drought Fund’s first annual Science to Practice Innovation Forum is taking place from June 29 to July 1, 2021.Â
This event aims to connect researchers, practitioners, farmers, agri-businesses, governments, and end-users who are making regional Australia more drought resilient.Â
Engage with best-practice experts, government representatives, and on-ground practitioners working across the fields of sustainable agriculture, climate science, community development, and farm business management.Â
Hear from the eight new Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hubs across regional Australia. Each Hub will present on their region’s priorities and how they plan to address these issues over the coming years.Â
Join us, your Tropical North Queensland Hub, at the Ideas Lab, JCU Cairns to take part in building the foundations of our drought resilient future.
