Plant or Soil Health… What Comes First, The Chicken or the Egg?

Hosted at the beautiful Skybury coffee and papaya farm, join us for a hands-on morning of demonstrations, speakers and activities that will get us to ‘Dig in and unearth the potential of your soil’ and discuss sustainable farming practices.

On the day we will hear from a variety of experts and get out in the field!

  • Lemon Myrtle case study of organic and sustainable farming practices – Brad Moulton (Australian Native Products)
  • Supporting landholders through practical projects – Tahna Jackson (NT Farmers)
  • Prepare for tomorrow: Assess, plan, and grow your business – Lara Wilde (Growcom’s Farm Business Resilience Program; Agrifood Catalyst)
  • What comes first chicken or egg? Plant health versus soil health – Simon Jackson (Stockade Farms)
  • Stockade farm walk and prototype spreader ‘Humisoil’ Demonstration
  • Greenpro 6-in-1 Seeder demonstration – Gulf Savannah NRM

  • Please wear sunscreen, covered-in shoes and bring a hat. Water will be provided.
