Nature Based Solutions to Build Regional Resilience

You’re Invited to contribute to the Nature Based Solutions to Build Resilience Project.

Partake in the future direction of the Preparing Australian Communities project by drawing on your local and technical knowledge to help us develop a relevant Streambank Management Guide & education program that best represents the needs of the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac Region.

Hear an update from Neilly Group on the relevance, processes and outcomes to date of the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac Regional Streambank Stability Assessment.

Project Deliverables:

  1. Mackay Whitsunday Isaac Regional Streambank Stability Assessment to increase preparedness and resilience to future tropical cyclone and flood events.
  2. The creation of a tailored education program focusing on raising awareness towards best practice waterway management & extreme event preparedness.
  3. Supporting landholders in the installation of riparian fencing infrastructure throughout the region.

Morning Tea and lunch will be supplied.
