Building business resilience from the soil up

July 18, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Good soil health and plant ecosystems are paramount to farm business resilience. If we get this right, we reduce horticulture operation costs, time and energy. We become more profitable.

If you’re interested in learning how to ensure good soil and  plant ecosystem health over the long term, understanding about soil health and how to improve the health of your horticulture operations, then this workshop is for you.

We’ll visit Lakelands Produce, demonstrate practical soil health tests and interpret the results. We’ll take a look at the farm system ecological health and demonstrate what makes a good ecological system and what to look out for and how to improve ecology in your farm system.

We’ll use HORT 360 to complete a soils health gap analysis for your farm and start the first steps to developing your farm business resilience plan.

Come along and learn about soil health, healthy ecological systems and how to put plans in place to improve your farm business resilience. Find out about what support and funding is available to help you turn your plans into a reality.
