TEKFARM: increasing producers drought resilience through technology uptake

What is TEKFARM?

With support from the TNQ Drought Hub and Gulf Savannah NRM, Farmers2Founders (F2F) present F2F TEKFARM®,  an initiative designed to help primary producers evaluate and enhance the drought resilience of their farms through technology.

By working with a TEKFARM advisor, producers can identify opportunities to bolster drought resilience, and be connected to appropriate agtech options. For those interested in implementing these technologies, grant funding is available to assist with the initial deployments costs.  TEKFARM works with a wide range of hardware and software solutions, that address specific drought resilience capabilities.

TEKFARM is deploying over 150 technologies on farms across Australia, working in all industries – from vast cattle stations in Tropical North Queensland to small holding grape growers in Tasmania.

The work doesn’t stop when the farmer chooses a technology, each implementation is monitored, checking in to see how it’s performing for the producer. This ongoing feedback ensures that the best options are identified and optimised, and we can help even more farmers find the right solutions.

How do I get involved?

Both producers and agtech providers are encouraged to get touch with TNQ TEKFARM Advisor Keerah Steele: keerah.steele@gulfsavannahnrm.org  or 0457 621 370
