  • AgValuate and BeefVantage are being developed by TNQ Drought Hub and James Cook University
  • These digital tools will help build resilience

Our Knowledge Adoption Officer, Carrie-Ann Wilson, was invited to present at the 2024 GroWQ Innovation Expo in Longreach last month, where she highlighted the innovative digital resilience tools being developed by the TNQ Drought Hub in collaboration with JCU – AgValuate and BeefVantage.

Carrie emphasised the crucial role these digital tools play in modern agriculture, explaining, “Developing digital tools for agricultural extension that are easily accessible online is vital. However, it's equally important to pair these tools with human expertise to support interpretation and implementation.”

The Expo provided a opportunity for Carrie to engage with an enthusiastic audience, sparking insightful discussions and gathering valuable feedback. She also had meaningful conversations with producers, agtech companies, and industry colleagues about the distinct challenges faced across different regions and sectors, and what the future holds for agriculture and Artificial Inteligence.

Reflecting on the event, Carrie shared, “It’s always a pleasure to see and hear from those who are at the forefront of the industry, driving change and innovation.”

GroWQ is a member based collective that enables strength resilience, investment and growth in the agricultural and agribusiness supply chain in Western Queensland. The Expo was a great opportunity to showcase how digital tools like AgValuate and BeefVantage are not just tools but means for transformation in the agricultural landscape.
