TNQ Drought Hub and Australian Women in Agriculture – People Management Series

The TNQ Drought Hub and Australian Women in Agriculture are pleased to partner in the delivery of an online People Management Series.

Facilitated by Dr Jane Oorschot – Program Lead for the TNQ Drought Hub, the series will encompass four key topics: Induction and Orientation; Performance Management; Employee Engagement; and Workforce Planning and Succession.

The series run on the following dates from 6:00 – 6:45pm.

  • 5 June 2023 – Induction and Orientation
  • 10 July 2023 – Performance Management
  • 7 August 2023 – Employee Engagement
  • 4 September 2023 – Workforce Planning and Succession
  •  

At the first session on the 5th of June, you will be provided with:

  • An understanding of why orientation is important
  • Overview the orientation process
  • Overview the behavioural interviewing technique
  • Understand the assigning of a buddy.
  •  

The format of the discussion series will provide:

  • An overview of the key topics from a practical perspective
  • Discussion questions
  • Practical applications
  •  

Jane has extensive human resource management experience in both technical and managerial roles across the public and private sectors. Jane has strengths in coaching, facilitation, performance management, strategic workforce planning, stakeholder engagement and strategic project delivery. Jane is also an experienced Human Resources Management and Management Lecturer coordinating and delivering undergraduate and post graduate programs.
