MLA’s $6.5M Foragecaster Project
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has launched a $6.5 million initiative with 10 industry partners to improve on-farm forecasting using AI. The Foragecaster tool will integrate seasonal climate forecasts, management practices, and pasture/livestock modelling to predict forage availability, grazing livestock conditions, and farm sustainability. Users will be able to simulate management scenarios, enabling better planning and decision-making. Learn more here.

Military-Grade Satellites: Fighting Weeds
Tim Neale of DataFarming is leading a new GRDC/SmartSat CRC project to use high-resolution satellite imagery and AI algorithms for weed detection.
