JCU’s Sandpit to Seed (S2S) fund for 2023

The Ag Innovation team is working with JCU to prepare our first run of Sandpit to Seed (S2S) round in early 2023 to support proof of concept, prototyping, and minimum viable product (MVP) development for agricultural technologies developed by JCU researchers and students.

The S2S fund aims to bridge the gap between research outcomes and real-world application(s). The aim is that the supported projects, technologies and developments will lead to additional funding, partnerships and commercialisation outcomes such as licensing, start-ups, and ultimately new products, services and methods which have a genuine impact on the agricultural industry in the region and beyond.

Funding will be considered for projects focusing on the agriculture industry, wherein JCU owns the IP.  All projects must be submitted through a defined Application Process (to be distributed next year) and applicants should provide a project plan focusing on the impact and proposed route to market.
