DESCRIPTION:Become a changemaker: \n\nAssess your region’s readiness for change.\nExplore how change happens and how to overcome resistance.\nLearn what it takes to be a positive change agent\, have the drive to build new things\, how to manage setbacks and work creatively and purposefully with others.\n\nStart community conversations: \n\nUnderstand the local ecosystem; undertake purposeful and inclusive engagement; create robust and authentic conversations.\nLearn how to have those conversations\, suspend judgement and assumptions\, and build trust and transparency for connection and diverse relationships.\n\nCare for your community: \n\nUnpack what forms and shapes a community.\nLearn how a community can be more inclusive.\nConsidering the impacts of drought\, trauma and other events\, get tools to better support others and balance giving and taking within a community.\n\nShape your community’s future: \n\nExplore ideas to shape the future you would like to see for your community.\nUnderstand the importance of language and the power of storytelling in motivating and mobilising others.\nLearn what makes a good story and how to connect with the hearts and minds of others.\n\nThis is a face-to-face session\, for two full days. Catering and participant resources provided. Before you register\, we ask that you make sure you can commit to attending\, as we have extensive waitlists for most workshops. If you do register and can’t attend\, wherever possible\, please contact us two weeks before the workshop date so we can reallocate your spot to another person from your community. Our ability to fully serve your region relies on this effective communication. \nIf you are registering for multiple participants\, please include individual email addresses against each registration which we need for surveys. \nThis workshop is free thanks to the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund.
