SUMMARY:Pigeon pea Field Walk - Kingaroy
DESCRIPTION:DAF and GRDC are investing in the evaluation of new pigeon pea experimental lines at field sites in southern and central Queensland in summer 2023-24. \nDAF is also conducting additional research on pigeon pea agronomy and control of weeds and insects in pigeon pea crops. \nOur target is to build a new pigeon pea industry in Queensland\, providing growers with a profitable new broadacre summer legume crop\, and developing new export markets to Asia\, building on the success of mungbean and chickpea. \nInterested growers and agronomists can see pigeon pea in the field and understand the opportunities and issues with growing pigeon pea.
