DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Protected Cropping Australia (PCA) Board\, I am delighted to invite you to attend the PCA2023 Conference to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 17-20 July. \n  \nThe conference theme for PCA2023 is “Growing our Future.” A range of inspiring and thought-provoking speakers\, exhibitors\, and sponsors from here in Australia and abroad will share their knowledge\, research\, and innovations to all delegates. \n  \nProtected Cropping is one of the fastest growing horticultural sectors in Australia and PCA have an enviable reputation of running great events filled with knowledge building and networking opportunities. \n  \nPCA is the peak industry body representing commercial hydroponic\, greenhouse and controlled environment growers in Australia and has a wide international following. \n  \nA key feature of PCA2023 is working with our partners\, the allied trade and equipment suppliers to encourage greater grower attendance through subsidising up to 150 free grower trade show passes. SUMMARY:Food and Grocery Code of Conduct Training
DESCRIPTION:NextGen\, in collaboration with AUSVEG are providing a free 1-day webinar on understanding the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct. \nFor the past decade\, NextGen has been training suppliers in the application of the Food & Grocery Code of Conduct (FGCC) in their dealings with retailers. Over that period\, NextGen trained over 3000 Australian Executives in the food supply chain industry. \nUnfortunately\, nearly all of the people NextGen have trained have not been from the fresh produce sector – the one sector that has long advocated that the retailers have all the power in the relationship. \nThis is an opportunity to understand the Code but more importantly use it to your advantage. \nThe training is structured into 4 areas: \n\nGeneral Provisions and Behaviour\nContracts and “the GSA”\nTechnical Areas such as Range Reviews\nDispute Resolution Processes\n\nThe webinar is from 9am – 4pm and the course is free.
