With the global population estimated to reach 10 billion by 2050, the pressure is on for food and agricultural scientists to support the production of high-quality agricultural produce and nutritious food to meet population growth.
This message will set the tone for around 800 delegates from around 30 countries who will attend the fourth TropAg conference in Brisbane from Monday 31 October to 2 November 2022.
TropAg will Shape the Science of Tomorrow, by featuring leading Australian and international scientific voices who are actively engaged in advancing research and raising awareness of the many challenges in the diverse field of agriculture and food production.
TropAg is hosted by The University of Queensland – a world leader in agriculture and food research, with support from the Queensland Government via the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, a Scientific Committee, an International Advisory Committee and vital partners and sponsors.
In 2022, TropAg welcomes HarlanIV and AgFutures as part of the three-day program. These leading groups will join four other themes to make up the symposium program including:
Agribusiness, value chains, and the bioeconomy
