Masterclass of Meteorology

Develop your practical weather knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the weather and warning services delivered by the Bureau of Meteorology, with this free masterclass delivered by a professional meteorologist from the Bureau. At the end of the day, you’ll be able to use these new skills to make better, more informed decisions.

The course will be presented by a professional meteorologist with years of experience as an operational weather forecaster, delivering services for the public, aviation customers and Emergency Services. With qualifications in Education, they more recently joined the Bureau’s Training Centre, conducting training and competency assessments for forecasters as well as managing and delivering the Bureau’s introductory courses in meteorology.

The Meteorology Masterclass provides an expert insight into weather fundamentals including the driving forces in our atmosphere and how it is observed and forecast. It will equip you with practical weather knowledge and a deeper understanding of the weather and warning services delivered by the Bureau of Meteorology, and how these can be used to make better, more informed decisions.
