How feral animals impact CQ beef businesses

This multi-topic forum is the best way to get up-to-date with the many impacts of feral animals. Topics include biosecurity impacts, the latest research and field demonstrations. Come along and chat to industry representatives, land managers, processors and researchers!

Guest Speakers:

Dr David Jenkins
Adjunct Associate Professor in Veterinary Parasitology
David’s research focuses on the cause, outcomes, distribution and control of the hydatid tapeworm and canine “tongue” worm, both of which can be passed on to and affect cattle.

Darren Pointon
Out ‘N’ About Trapping
For the last 30 years Darren has worked as a professional vertebrate pest manager. Specialising in wild dogs, Darren works with government and private
land managers to resolve wild dog impacts.

Greg Mifsud
National Wild Dog Management Coordinator
Greg works across all levels of government and industry to improve the adoption of best practice wild dog management techniques to reduce the impacts of wild dogs and other vertebrate pests.

John Langbridge
GM Corporate & Industry Affairs Teys Australia
John works with industry, government and customers on meat safety, animal health and welfare, meat production, processing and export issues. He has insight into regional impacts on meat supply chains.
