TNQ Drought Hub Digital Ag Innovation Consultant, Kara-Glenn Worth was invited to attend the Central Highlands Development Corporation (CHDC)’s Smarter, Stronger Data Through Ag workshop in Emerald on February 6th to present and trial “AgValuate”, a hub developed innovation readiness questionnaire-based tool that will help producers, farmers and land managers better understand how technology and innovation can best be applied on farm.
Approximately 40 attendees, mostly growers, took part in the workshop. The group learnt about collecting and using farm data to support their business productions. The workshop reiterated the importance of the hub’s mission to lead a regional, collaborative approach to support the agricultural sector and communities become more drought and climate resilient by strengthening relationships.
Hub Technical Adoption Officer, Keerah Steele was also invited to share her technical, on the ground expertise learnings and insights on data-driven decision-making, and aid in the facilitation of the AgValuate workshop.
